Parents, Players, families and supporters of boys and girls Chaska Area Youth Basketball -- we are asking for your help and support -- especially between now and November 1st.
Every year, our players, families, coaches, volunteers, and board members work together to ensure one of the best basketball experiences for in-house and travel basketball participants in the Twin Cities. And it’s not just about basketball – it’s about building team skills, interpersonal skills, and life skills that will help positively impact our youth for years to come (and parents and coaches as well :)
We are also very proud to provide developmental opportunities for our players, and importantly, scholarships to families in need of financial support in order to play for our travel or in-house teams. CAYBBA has a stated mission to NEVER lose a Chaska family interested in playing basketball due to financial restraints.
It is our goal to make sure we can continue to offer up fantastic experiences for our youth players and families while keeping participant costs at a very reasonable value... especially compared to other programs.
Here's where you come in -- enjoy some great food and help us raise funds for our program.
PLEASE SEND this website fundraiser and above link to your neighbors, to your friends, and to your relatives and extended family in the United States. Yes -- anywhere in the US. ALL OF IT helps Chaska Area Youth Basketball! In 2013, we raised over $2500. In 2014, we're hoping for $4000!
We are unique with our program in our fundraising approach. We DO NOT ask our kids to go door-to-door selling punch cards, wrapping paper, magazines... this is our only fundraiser. By email. On-line. And it's such a simple model... and the participants simply enjoy great Schwan’s food at the same great every day Schwan's prices with home delivery!
Best yet - there's absolutely no responsibility for you to be involved in delivery. All we ask is that you help us spread the word to buy fantastic Schwan's food via our fundraiser website to benefit Chaska Area Youth Basketball!
Schwan's will make a special 20% donation to CAYBBA from all purchases made during this campaign (Campaign ID# 14628) between now and November 1. You are also eligible to purchase a one-time gift card for a 40% contribution! What an exciting year ahead for Chaska Girls Travel Basketball!
Thank you to parents, players, and especially Coach Tara and her staff for a successful week of tryouts. We are truly blessed with a strong program and community to be able to form two teams at each travel basketball level.
Our program continues to emphasize skill development, team-first play, and positive coaching and mentoring of life skills in a fun environment. We firmly believe these core principles lead to wins, both on and off the court.
Coaches should be finalized this week, and team meetings will start to take place later this month. Practices will start around the end of the month/first part of October.
Finally, while each grade and team roster has been posted... remember our discussion at tryouts that all players, parents, and coaches belong to the same team -- Chaska Hawks Basketball!
In keeping with CAYBBA's mission to develop youth basketball players and support the Chaska High School basketball program, the CAYBBA Board has decided to terminate the current Waiver/Transfer program. We will no longer accept pre-tryout transfers into our traveling basketball program.
All players that have played for CAYBBA in the past on a Waiver will be grandfathered in and will be allowed to continue to participate in CAYBBA traveling basketball. Also, children of current CAYBBA Board members will be allowed to participate in CAYBBA traveling basketball regardless of their place of residence.
Players that live outside the District 112 boundaries and are enrolled in schools inside the district boundaries will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
In situations where additional players are needed to form teams after tryouts, CAYBBA will work in cooperation with CAA to attempt to fill teams.
